Beehive Medical Recruitment requires a Band 6 or above Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with experience in community work, rehabilitation/reablement.
Must be HCPC registered.
Provision of equipment (manual handling experience essential)
Supervision of junior staff.
Car driver essential- required to carry items of equipment in car.
Knowledge of common conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, MSK, COPD and falls.
To work as a member of the clinical team of Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and therapy assistants within community therapy services.
The post holder will independently manage a caseload that includes some highly complex patients and provide specialist assessments to adults referred to the team who present with a range of physical dysfunction/or disabilities resulting from injury, illness, surgery or chronic disease, within a range of community settings and establishments (including Rehabilitation Wards/Units, Clients Homes, Care Homes and Prisons)
On an on-going basis the post holder will assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate individual programmes of care for patients.
The post holder will work within a multi-professional team (Consultants, GP’s, nursing staff, Occupational Therapists, Social workers and other AHP’s) regarding the management and discharge of patient’s under your care.
The post holder will deliver clinical education of all staff as required within community services
Requirements
- Treatment planning and discharging from Intermediate Care Beds
- Full Time: Mon – Fri
- Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
- Driving Licence
- Start as soon as possible for 12 weeks with a view to be extended
- Location: North East England
Requirements
- 6 months NHS experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC Registered
