The States of Guernsey are seeking to appoint a Reporting Sonographer Band 7/8A to join the Radiology Ultrasound team. This is a permanent position requiring a relocation to the island.
Guernsey is one of the Channel islands, between England and France. Guernsey is known for its stunning natural scenery, sweeping sandy beaches and a whole host of sport and leisure opportunities.
The post holder will work as an independent reporting Sonographer performing exams to a very high standard. They will be expected to communicate highly complex / sensitive / contentious results to the appropriate clinician(s) and also to patients directly.
Qualifications: Diploma of Medical US or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound at master’s level (120 M Level credits.) (Paid at Guernsey AFC Band 7).
Post qualification experience in abdominal, small parts and obstetric ultrasound, paediatric hips, and some Vascular Scanning.
