BEEHIVE MEDICAL RECRUITMENT Specialist Recruitment require a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to work in East London.
Suitable candidates should be Registered Occupational Therapists with experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, housing instability, and severe and enduring mental illness.
Candidates must have:
- Band 6 Occupational Therapy experience
- Experience holding a caseload of patients with severe and enduring mental illnesses
- Experience working with individuals experiencing rough sleeping/homelessness
- Experience undertaking Occupational Therapy assessments
- Ability to assess occupational performance, functional ability, ADLs, executive functioning, sensory needs, cognition and environmental barriers
- Experience developing person-centred intervention plans promoting recovery, independence, wellbeing and community integration
- Experience delivering trauma-informed, strengths-based and recovery-focused Occupational Therapy interventions
- Understanding of the impact of mental illness, trauma, substance misuse, emotional and physical health conditions, and social exclusion on occupational participation
- RiO knowledge is essential
